Join us for our Annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in honor of Roberto Clemente and enjoy authentic Puerto Rican food, music and dancing!
Proceeds from this event will go to funding important projects. The first is the Fondo Solidario de Pittsburgh (the Pittsburgh Solidarity Fund), which our chapter established in 2018 as a means of loaning much needed funds to families impacted by ICE detentions. These past years we’ve expanded the mission of the Fund to include loans to workers who’ve suffered financially due to a violation of their rights in the workplace.The second project we’ll be supporting again this year is the Comedores Sociales de Puerto Rico, an anti-hunger organization based in San Juan, Puerto Rico that provides food assistance to working families in Puerto Rico.
